This story caught my eye as I have until recently been subscribed to twitter, read tweets and twittered. Perhaps there is some interesting things going on in Twitter land. After reading the story I realised my original thought of deleting my twitter account was the right one.

When twitter first set up it was possible to receive tweets by sms. Apparently that ran up someone's costs too much so the service was cut for those outside of the US and UK. Those in that category but with a iPhone are able to use a variety of aps to twitter.

Here's the rub; there is just so much crap being twittered that getting good stuff is too damn hard.

And that two of the top ten Australian twitters are the leaders of the major political parties is just insulting.
